[Once Cilan has gotten his own groceries taken care of too, he'll step outside and gesture for Hizumi to follow him to an open spot that should give some appropriate distance from any townspeople walking by. Somehow, he manages to shift his stuff to one arm as he uses his other hand to fish out three poke'balls.]
Alright... everyone, it's showtime~!
[He tosses those three pokeballs into the air, and they burst open with a flash of light. When the light fades, now there's thesethreePokemon standing before Hizumi, which Cilan introduces each in turn.]
Pansage, Crustle, and Stunfisk... this is Hizumi. Hizumi, these three are my Pokemon.
[Pansage and Crustle smile at Hizumi, the former even offering a wave... Stunfisk mostly just sort of blinks in response to Hizumi's presence.]
Yes, that's right. Humans and Pokemon have been living in close proximity to one another for a very long time... in fact, I don't think there's any place in our world where you wouldn't be able to find a Pokemon living there.
Because of that, you'll find that most people that come from my world are Pokemon trainers, or at least have a Pokemon companion of some kind accompanying them.
[When Hizumi crouches down a little closer to Pansage, the Pokemon blinks a little in surprise, before it then smiles and holds out a paw to him, as if offering a handshake. Nice to meet you, Hizumi.]
[He has to wonder if the people in Cilan's world are simply highly effective at training other species. He will go ahead and shake the pokémon's paw, however.]

There are plenty of Pokemon that still live in the wild, but yes, there are just as many that have chosen to live in the company of people...

Some people will certainly give them nicknames upon befriending them, while others call them by their species name. I'll admit that I'm the latter, in this particular case.
[Not that he doesn't think his Pokemon aren't deserving of nicknames, just... they've been together for so long that calling them by a different name now would be a little strange.]

[And here, he looks at his Pokemon, at Pansage in particular.] I've had Pansage with me since a very young age, and back then my brothers and I didn't think of any really good nicknames to give Pansage and the others we had with us. By the time I met Crustle and Stunfisk about... a year or so ago, it felt strange to try to call my partners by a different name?
No, not really. I've been with my Pokemon for so long that honestly, if they were lost somewhere in a crowd of their own kind, I'd be able to immediately tell which one was my friend from sight alone.
[He sure sounds pretty confident about that...]
After all, just because they look similar to other Pokemon of their species doesn't mean that they don't have their own unique taste that separates them from the others.

Well, as a Pokemon Connoisseur, it's important to be eloquent when it comes to sharing our thoughts--as such, we're taught to speak that way when it comes to describing the observations we make in the course of our studies.

It's considered a necessary ingredient in the lifestyle of a Pokemon Connoisseur, so... you'd probably be considered to have a strange taste if you didn't do so, I think.

There are plenty of Pokemon Connoisseurs that are not chefs, but they still speak that way nonetheless.

Of course, we all have our own unique spin to it too, despite that. After all, the way I might describe something's taste might be different in comparison to how another would describe it, due to their own personal feelings or abilities as a connoisseur.
