Cilan watches the traveler curiously, wondering why it's staring at his face like that.]

...Um, is something wrong?

[SOUND CAME OUT!!! the traveler perks up and peers closer, trying to figure out how he does it. is it the white things? the pink one? whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat]

[Cilan leans away just a little 'cause why is it getting closer to our face like that what does it want from us...

...Oh, maybe it wants to hear more whistling? Earlier it had gotten really excited when he did that, so after a moment he tries a little more whistling like he did before.]

[IT'S MAGICAL.

the traveler jumps back and starts running back and forth, weaving across the ground and chirping rapidly.]

My, I guess you really do like whistling...

[But that's okay, he doesn't mind, he's willing to keep whistling a little more if it makes the traveler happy. ♬~]

[the traveler will sing along! because singing is fun! and it's the one language it somewhat understands.]

[it takes a few steps back, crouches down and then jumps into the air, twirling around as it lets out a large sound wave, the bubble expanding out across the ground.]

Wha--[Okay wow that was loud and unexpected and it takes Cilan completely off guard for a second. After the initial shock wears off though, he's able to speak up again.] Um, wow, that was really impressive...

[chirpchirp]

[it tilts its head to the side and waits to see if Cilan will also shout like it did. ...probably not since no one else here seems capable of doing it, but oh well.]

[cilantro]

Hm? [What is it staring at now--oh, is it because we had stopped whistling after that shouting it just did? Gosh, he's going to have to figure out a proper method of communication with the traveler at some point...] ♪~?

[it twitters back at him and then turns in a circle where it stands, trudging around and around, chasing its scarf]

[ugh stop being so moe we're gonna die at this rate It's a shame Cilan doesn't remember his Pokemon--they probably would have found you entertaining too or maybe they would have been able to speak with you better than we can. Still, when the little traveler starts chasing its scarf, that at least certainly earns some laughter on his end.]

[ooooh he made new noises.

the traveler stops and tries to mimic the laughter, but it doesn't do very well]

[Oh, what's it doing now? The way it's chirping now almost sounds like it's amused by something, but it's hard to tell. Cilan tries humming the same note back, see what it does.]

[it is confused as to what sound Cilan was making earlier, so it repeats it, then repeats his note, curious]

[The same notes again--again, it sort of sounds like amusement, but we're not sure.]

Ah...sorry, I'm not sure what you're trying to say.

[oh he won't make the sounds anymore.

the traveler tilts its head and then turns in a circle, sitting down and looking up at Cilan. make the nooooooooise]

[...Aww, now it seems disappointed. We're sorry that we don't speak musical notes that well. ^^;;

Cilan reaches a hand out now to try to give it a consolatory headpat.]

[chirpchirp]

[it pips at Cilan and stands up, bumping against his hand.]

[...Well, at least that seems to help cheer it up. You can have as many headpats as you'd like, little traveler.]

it continues chiming, jumping a little to meet Cilan's hand each time he pats its head. each touch causes the gold lining of its cloak to glow faintly]

[How curious! He wishes you could talk so that he could ask why your cloak is glowing like that...but alas. We'll have to settle with dealing with the curiosity for now while he continues patting the traveler's head. SOMEDAY WE WILL SURELY FIGURE OUT YOUR SECRETS...]

after a few moments of head patting, the traveler twirls away and flaps its cloak, rising into the air for a moment before coasting back down.]
