[He doesn't exactly give Red a chance to decline or say that he can wait to get his own Christmas gift later though, as Cilan's already letting go of Red's hands now to wander off somewhere back into the house.
...Although, a few seconds seems to turn into a few minutes, but just hang tight, I'm sure he'll be back out soon once he stops giving this gift a once-over and nit-picking some last minute details of it...?]
[ --ah, there Cilan goes, zooming off at the speed of light. Red doesn't mind waiting, though as those seconds do turn into minutes, he gets restless on his feet, tipping his head back to look for any sign of the guy returning, wondering if he should take a seat (that would be okay, right), but instead finally going for the option of- ]

[ calling. Are u ok buddy, did you fall down and now you can't get up. ]
[The instant Red calls his name, Cilan is suddenly zooming back out, nearly skidding into the doorframe but avoiding it at the last second as he turns on his heel towards Red, a box in hand.]

[If Red decides to go ahead and open it, he'll find that it's a box full of a wide variety of colorful macaroons, biscuits, cupcakes, and other delicious sweets, no doubt made by Cilan himself. There's even some treats he's made that seems to be exclusively for Red's Pokemon, little labels indicating how a fire-type like Charizard will like this one, or how this other one will be enjoyed by Lapras, and so on. There's also a pair of red winter gloves because Cilan could not remember whether or not he remembered seeing you wearing any back when they went Christmas shopping together (you had a scarf, but gloves...?) so, you know, here's the equivalent of Mom getting you socks a pair that you can use in case you don't already have some. (And hey, if you did already have a pair, Gengar could probably wear these and that would be the closest Cilan gets to expressing gift giving for a ghost?)
Underneath the gloves though are what appears to be some paper. Unlike the book Red gave Cilan with info about the gym leaders of Kanto, it looks like something you'd expect to see on a keyring full of recipe cards, but instead of recipes having been written down, it looks like it can be used for Red to take notes or write information on for just about anything, with a ring that he can use to attach to his bag or belt or what have you for quick access. (Perhaps just in case there's someone with a Pokemon that shows up that doesn't register on the pokedex right away until it's able to be upgraded again? Or even for taking notes on the non-Pokemon living here?) There is a quick note that he seems to have added in the time he left Red in the doorway that says if Red would like something similar to the notes he gave us about the gym leaders of Kanto, Cilan would be more than happy to write about what he knows of the Unova gym leaders to give Red in exchange.
The other bit of paper is a folded note that is... really kind of sappy, wishing Red all the best for this holiday season, and for the general future as well. It also concludes with the following: "Red, I hope you know how proud I am of you--not just because of your abilities as a Pokemon Trainer, but for all of the hard work and effort you've shown during our stay here as well. I'm honored to be friends with someone as great as you are."]
Red holds the box in his hands, looking down at it in a way like he doesn't know what to do with it or what it's for. Except of course he does, his mind just needing to catch up for the smile to grow on his face and for the grip of his fingers to go in a little more, and Red's not about to sparkle or twinkles or any of those things, but you would surely not guess it's winter outside between the pair of these guys.
It takes the word seemingly forever to come bursting out from his mouth, but it finally will- ]
