Thank you for showing us--I can see now why you made the comparison before. [In fact...] Come to think of it, this taste reminds me a little of some Pokemon that we had living in Unova, named Pawniard and Bisharp.

And yes, I believe there are some competitors that are fighting with their fists, but I think they are in a different division than those of us who have Pokemon or other special means to battle with. I suppose the people running the tournament felt it would be more fair that way.
Oh, so they split it up? That makes sense if they're letting anyone from a different world sign up and all of us have different skills to go with it. But I still haven't met anyone like a pokémon trainer yet... 'cept one guy, but he doesn't have his partners with him anymore.

The way he described it, they were like... legendaries. They meant a lot to the world he's from, and his family had were connected to them. They were the only ones that really understood them and what they did.
...It was some heavy stuff. [ And it was there that the line thickened--not sombre, nor tense, but something close enough. ] But the creatures--birds called Chains, he called them--they got separated for some reason to different people.
I don't know if I should really get into it, but I could tell he cared about them a lot. Still does.
Ah, I see... [Don't worry Red, he's not going to pry too much into what sounds like a private topic that was discussed between the two of you.] It certainly sounds like they were really important to him. Plus, he sounds like someone that would be interesting to talk to in general. Perhaps it would be nice for us to meet them sometime.
