Oh, it's Madoka! [ she quickly bows as if to make up for the belated introduction. ] Madoka Kaname, it's nice to meet you..!

Although.. hehe, maybe you would've expected a more flashy name from a magical girl, I'm sorry..

O-oh, don't apologize--I think it's a lovely name!

[He bows a little too, realizing he has yet to introduce himself either.] My name is Cilan. It's a pleasure to meet you as well, Madoka!

.. Um, I was wondering though.. do you always wear a cape?

...Ah! Right! [Gosh, he nearly lost focus of what he had been doing beforehand.] This is something I wear often--from the looks of it I suppose I'm meant to be a superhero of some kind. [Err wait] Or rather, what I should say is...

[He clears his throat before striking a pose, one hand on hip and the other pointing outward as he announces dramatically.] Have no fear, citizens! As a hero of justice, I will do whatever it takes to fight against evil-doers everywhere!

[ Oh, wait, it's someone else who fights evil?! And that pose, that speech.. he's much better at it than she is! She might as well pack her bags at this rate as the local magical girl! ]

Y-.. you really fight evil-doers here?!

[Oh gosh she actually believes us--err, I mean] Y-yes, that's right! It's my sworn duty to fight against the corrupt and protect those who might be in danger at the hands of such villainous people!

[Well okay not really, but Cilan would at least try to help if there actually were any evil-doers lurking around. He's mostly just improvising right now.] That's why as both a hero and a magical girl respectively, we'll both have to do our best to help out anyone who's in trouble here, right?

Yes, that's right, we both have to try our best! But.. um.. [ there's a hesitation - she's not sure if it's okay to say this? but she can.. try.. ]

Do you really think this place needs two people for something like that? You seem like you're much better at it than I am..

[He drops the pose slightly to grin a bit sheepishly.] Oh, no, I'm still a bit new to this. I can't say with too much certainty that I would be the absolute best at it yet...but it won't stop me from trying to help nonetheless.

And I think it's good to have more than one of us around--not all enemies can be defeated alone, so we'll be able to help each other out as well!
