Okay...though, I think Pansage and I would be able to sleep easier if we knew you were in a more comfortable place to sleep too, right Pansage? [Pansage gives him a look like "huh" for a second before he catches on and starts nodding in agreement. The whole point was Ash wanting Cilan to be able to sleep and prove the Sweet Scent works, right? Implying we literally can't sleep if you're on the floor might get you to stop being stubborn...maybe?

Okay this is kind of a deviously weird plan even for Cilan but look, the line has to be drawn somewhere. So, it's worth a try, right?]

But, I guess if you're so sure about staying down there on the floor...

[ Ash was ready to protest again anything that Cilan said again but stops himself from doing so when he actually hears what Cilan said and sees Pansage's nodding. He glances at Pikachu and is given a nod of encouragement before he finally brings his attention back to Cilan.

He looks uncertain about this but... ]

... So... if we sleep on the bed too you'll be able to sleep easier? Are ya sure?

[Is it working??] Yes, I'm sure of it! This way, it will become a better and more beneficial taste for us!

[And how can you say no to this face, okay.]

[ One more look at Pikachu before he responds ]

... 'kay, but only 'cause I want ya to have a good sleep. We'll come sleep on th' bed too.

[ Give him a moment to scoop his pillows and blankets off the floor so he can bring them to the bed. In the meantime Pikachu will hop back onto the bed and perch himself next to Pansage. ]

[Victory! ...Which is a weird thing to be victorious about, but ssshhh.]

Great! [He'll move over a little further so that there's enough space between them when Ash brings his pillows and blankets over. Pansage doesn't bother moving, even starting to curl up in it's spot like it's about to drift off again. Once Ash appears to be properly situated, Cilan gives a smile.]

See, isn't it more comfortable over here than it was on the floor?

[ Just don't mention this victory to anyone else because how would you even word it.....

Ash moves his pillows and blankets around on the bed a little before finally settling in. Once he's situated he gives Cilan a smile back. ]

Yeah, it is. Even with all the pillows and blankets the floor wasn't very comfortable.

[ See now that we're on the bed we're gonna be honest about the floor. Whoops. ]

["Well Ash was quite stubborn about being on the floor, but I was able to convince him that sharing the bed would be a much better experience for the both of us"--okay yeah you're right there is no way to word that without it sounding weird.]

Yes, I thought so. [He would be a little disappointed that you lied otherwise earlier, but he's far more happier that it's not even an issue anymore.] But, I'm sure we'll all be able to sleep a little easier now that you're not on the floor anymore, right Pansage?

[Pansage gives a slight nod of agreement, but honestly it might just be a random head movement since it looks like it's starting to fall asleep already.]

[ Only if you want joke tags. ]

Yeah, I hope so. Are you more comfortable, Pikachu?

[ Pikachu nods his head a little before curling up. He's tired and ready to get to sleep as well, despite how much he may want to stay up to make sure two certain trainers don't go through deja vu ]

Well, guess we should both try n' get some more sleep now. Just tell me if ya get uncomfortable 'kay.

[ ~~AND HE'LL GO BACK ON THE FLOOR~~ and he'll figure out someway to make it not so. Because who knows it might be because he's sprawl across the bed or something along those lines]

[Well hey, if one of them ends up waking up at some point from one of those nightmares, it would be harder to hide it now that they're in closer proximity, right? (But I'm pretty sure the Pokemon don't actually want them having nightmares just to force this discussion, right...)]

Alright, but please let me know in case you're still having trouble sleeping too, okay?

[Otherwise, Cilan is going to lie down a little more properly and try to go back to sleep again...and hopefully not wake up at any point again from a sudden nightmare or something because, gosh that would be embarrassing ahahaha...ha...]

[ It'll all depends on whether what Cilan said really is the truth of not. Either way, there really will be less hiding it if either of them wakes up suddenly from nightmares again. (... Though, yes. As much as they want a certain discussion to happen they don't want them having nightmares. Sigh such is life) ]

... 'Kay. I will.

[ Though, of course, he'll be hoping the nightmares are gone for the reminder of the night. He'll settle down and shift a little so he's comfortable before ... staring at an abyss and waiting until he finally dozes off or something.

Whichever comes first. ]

[Eventually, Cilan does end up falling asleep first despite better efforts to wait until Ash had fallen asleep again, so Ash will probably be able to see that, so far, Cilan appears to be alright. He twitches once, but otherwise there doesn't seem to any other signs of unease for now...maybe he was telling the truth about being able to sleep easier while you're not on the floor? Or maybe the Sweet Scent is working?]

[ Success! Ash managed to stay awake until Cilan fell asleep. But he's just about at his limit as he finds that not long after he's starts to doze off again. There was a twitch from Cilan but that's not a big deal... right? People move all the time in their sleep.

But as long as there aren't any signs of nightmares coming from Cilan and that sharing the bed and/or the Sweet Scent is working Ash will ease himself into some sleep himself. They'll be shifting from the kid, a bit more than there should be, but maybe he's just having difficulty sharing a smallish bed with a second person.

Maybe. Either way sorry if we accidentally smack you in the face as we swing our arm out, Cilan. ]

[At first, Cilan had been sleeping pretty well. But, as dreams occasionally do, they start okay before heading into bizarre directions or into downright nightmares. This particular dream he had started having had felt that way--it started out pleasantly enough, but then it felt like it was heading towards something less than desirable. Maybe even towards something that might have been haunting his dreams for a while now.

That is, until he feels something smack him in the face, waking him up pretty abruptly. It takes a moment, once he's a little more focused, before he realizes it was because Ash's arm hit him, so now he's very gently attempting to move it aside without waking Ash up.

He probably should have foreseen something like this happening with the two of them sharing this bed, but honestly, he's almost a little grateful for the wake up call. Maybe if he's even luckier, he'll be able to lie here and eventually fall back asleep without Ash noticing.]

[ Cilan was lucky enough that hitting his face didn't wake Ash up to begin with and when Cilan moves his arm Ash flinches, stirs, and turns over whilst making a small noise but it doesn't waken.

However, if Cilan isn't back asleep a moment later Ash will find himself nearly in the same situation as he was before as he wakes up from his sleep once again. He groans a little, shifting onto his back and lays there for a bit, eyes covered by his arm, as he recovers from the dream that woke him up to begin with.

He doesn't think to look to see if Cilan is awake or not, completely unaware that his arm hit his friend and thinking (or hoping) that his wake up didn't wake Cilan up. ]

[Cilan had laid there for a moment, simply running a hand across his face to massage the spot where Ash's arm had hit him, but just as he was about to drift off again, he had heard Ash shifting next to him.

...He's not sure if the other's really awake or not, but...]

...Ash? [It's said as quietly as possible--loud enough that he would hear it if he was awake, but quiet enough that it should hopefully not disturb the other if Ash really was still asleep.]

No--well, sort of, but I don't think you meant to do so earlier--[...Okay, this sentence is going nowhere, start over.]

I just wanted to know if you were alright. It sounded like you were shifting around quite a bit.

Eh?? [ Wait what did he do something-- oh. This question. Ash sits up and plays with the blanket a little. ]

I'm alright now. It was... just a bad dream. [ Honesty why um um ] Sorry for waking you.

[ Whatever it was that he did. ]

I'll try not to move so much next time.

A dream? [That gets a frown, but he doesn't say anything for about a minute. When he does speak again, it almost sounds hesitant.]

...Do you want to talk about it? This dream of yours, I mean.

[Normally, he wouldn't ask, because he can easily assume what the dream was about, but...but this time, he'll take the risk on asking about it.]

[ Ash shifts uncomfortably again. ]

Not really.

[ Though it might help if he did he's just being honest here. He doesn't like having it and talking about it doesn't sound much better.

But there is a moment of silence - hesitation - before he speaks ]

I tried really hard to think of good things before going to sleep. But I still had it. I dunno what to do. I don't wanna go back to sleep.

[ It's really hard when you can normally go from positive to negative but no matter how hard you try it doesnt work. ]

...Hm. This dream certainly is quite a nuisance, isn't it? But it's a powerful one, too--you never know when it's going to appear, and there still doesn't seem to be an answer here on how to get rid of it...

[If the dream you're talking about is the same one that he's thinking of, that is.]

...But sleep isn't something that you can just simply avoid, Ash--not getting any sleep can cause you to become ill, if you're not careful. [Still...] That said, I don't blame you for not wanting to go back to sleep right away after having those kind of dreams--to be honest, I don't like this taste either, when it comes to the dreams one tends to have here in this place.

[Even when he's not having that dream, there is the occasional nightmare or other about something else that can potentially ruin a night of sleep too.]

I wish there was. If it went away maybe the others will go away too.

[ It's been months. Some would think an answer would arise already. Or they would have ended. ]

I know it isn't. I'm tryin' to be careful but... but whenever I try ta go back to sleep afterwards it's still there when I close my eyes. [ He pauses for a moment, thinking a little over the last words Cilan said. ] Mm... it's hard but... it'll be okay. Things will work out eventually.

[ Trying to put a positive spin, trying being the keyword. Cilan has been here much longer, hasn't he? So he's had more which means that Ash shouldn't complain too much, right? Well, that and other reasons. Gotta be strong. ]

Yeah, of course. It's going to be okay. [As if Cilan would say anything else contrary. Ash is trying so hard to remain positive, we have to do our best to be positive too.

After a moment, Cilan sits up and properly turn to look at his friend.]

And don't forget, you've got friends here that you can count on, too. The people and Pokemon we've met here, my Pokemon and I, Charizard, Snivy, and Pikachu...we'll always do our best to do whatever we can to help you here, okay?

Mmm... Yeah, I know. And that's why I can keep going. If it weren't for any of you guys...

[ He stops and sits up himself to properly turn and look back at Cilan. ]

So thanks. For everything.

[ There's more he could say. More he should say. But 'everything' sums it up,doesn't it?]

[There's a moment of silence, before Cilan reaches over to give Ash a hug, now that the other is sitting up too.]

You don't have to thank us, Ash. [But it does make him happy, being appreciated.] It's what friends are for, right?
