In that case... [Luckily for Korra, Cilan actually doesn't consider what would be the "cheapest" noodles for him to have to pay for--after all, she wants to know where some of the "best" noodles are, so he answers honestly, pointing in the indicated direction.] Perhaps you would like the noodles they serve at a restaurant just up the road from here.

[Would you like for us to lead the way?]

[precipitous]

Great. [ And then she looks at him expectantly. ] Let's be on our way, then?

[cilantro]

Of course! [On our way we go! There haven't been any cops walking by along this path yet, something that Cilan has sort of noticed to some slight disappointment--her last mugging attempt likely hadn't gone as smoothly due to an ill-timed cop strolling by or what not, but as of now, there hasn't been one yet. He could ditch her, but...well, not only is that rude, but he has the feeling it would have made their next meeting worse. Not exactly eager to be on a gang member's list of people they don't like, so leading her to the indicated restaurant he does. He'll even hold the door open for her when they arrive.] After you?

[precipitous]

[ She grins at him devilishly as she strolls through the restaurant door. This was turning out pretty good. Maybe she can get take out to take home for her family. ]

You sure know how to treat a lady, don't you?

[cilantro]

[And there went our chance to bolt the second she had stepped inside and took her attention off of us--I mean uh]

Of course! I'd like to think of myself as a gentleman, after all. [Now to quietly pray that Korra doesn't try to buy the most expensive things she sees once she gets her hands on the menus here...]

[precipitous]

[ She won't be that mean to his pockets.

Maybe. ]

Then lead the way, gent. [ She'll let him pick a table. ]

Mm, alright. [Cilan ends up choosing a nice table that gives some privacy away from any other busy tables nearby as he takes a quick look at a provided menu. There's a very nice variety of noodles and things served here, many of which he would recommend as being good, though he's mainly keeping an eye on prices at first when he indicates Korra's menu.]

Is there anything that looks the most appealing to you?

[precipitous]

[ Oh, privacy. This is almost seeming like a date, but Korra doesn't plan to tease him about that too much. Yet, anyway.

She'll wait until she's ordered her food for that! ]

The chow mein looks pretty good...but so does the chicken and rice platter. What are you getting?

[cilantro]

[asjahskl oh no he'll be so embarrassed if she teases him about that...]

Oh, those are good choices! [...In matters of taste, that is--the wallet however might be crying at how much money we might end up spending today, but Cilan really can't help himself when it comes to honesty regarding food.] They have excellent spices and ingredients when it comes to cooking those here, so you can't go wrong with either of those options.

[But as for us...uh, well, he hadn't given too much thought to getting anything for himself since he wasn't entirely sure what Korra would like and therefore a need to keep an eye on his funds...] Hm...as for myself, I think for now I'll just have some tea, though the chow mein or even the lo mein are considerable choices, personally speaking. [Because the latter one especially is cheaper than the other--I mean uh...]

[precipitous]

[ She mulls that over for a minute, before slapping down her menu. ]

Alright! That's it. I'll get the chow mein.

[ Sorry, Cilan. ]

Oh, excellent choice! [we should have known... ^^;;] In that case, I think I'll go with the lo mein this time.

[Just keeping it a little cheaper on his side for now. Plus having to account for the possible event that she might want seconds or something.]
